Three sisters Miki, Saki and Misaki live in Tokyo in Nova Gaia.
The clothes worn by the three sisters are made with the future technology by weaving Nova Gaia's special ore into the fibers. These clothes are able to transform into any shape you like with your imagination. You can always get anything you like with the power of your imagination here.
The three sisters explore their favorite things every day and spend their time freely.
“Girls in Nova Tokyo” is created based on the story of Nova Gaia from World of Women Galaxy. In Japan, there is a deep-rooted culture of “Niji Sousaku (secondary creation)”, in which fans recreate anime and manga works. When I was in junior high school and high school before I started studying art, I loved to make drawings of my favorite anime and manga. I deeply felt joy of being able to express my favorite characters and world by myself and I was so absorbed to make drawings that I forgot the time passed. It reminds me the feeling of Niji Sousaku when I make this work.
All images in the work are generated by AI (Midjourney). These are edited in Adobe Photoshop and added ASCII effect in TouchDesigner. The materials are finalized into one video in Adobe Premiere Pro. The ASCII text reads "Nova Gaia, Tokyo".
Nova Gaia is the future Earth. When I look at the collection of World of Women Galaxy, I feel excited that in the future everyone will freely express themselves as they please. "Girls in Nova Tokyo" presents the joy of creating a free world with the power of imagination.
